<p>PURPOSE:To improve the reliability of paper charging by providing a means of holding a retractor in a holding position at the time of printing and a holding position at the time of non-printing, at the time of charging a sheet of paper. CONSTITUTION:At the time of charging a sheet of paper, as a switch is depressed, a retractor motor is steppingly rotated, to move a retractor 3 from a position at the time of non-printing to a place in which the gap toward a sensitive drum 2 is approx. 1.2mm and hold same there. Hence, when the front end of the sheet of paper 1 passes above the opening portion of the retractor 3, it collides against the sensitive drum 2 with the advancing direction thereof being changed. Thereby, the sheet of paper 1 is not brought into contact with a paper guide 5 nor enters between the sensitive drum 2 and the paper guide 5, and is sent to a stacker 13 passing through a conveying belt 4 and through a fixing portion 11 and a puller 12. After finishing charging the sheet of paper, the retractor 3 is returned to a non-printing position to be in a printable condition.</p> |
