PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain alumina porcelain excellent in thermal shock resistance. SOLUTION: A sintered compact 1 consists of 80-97wt.% Al2 O3 and 3-20wt.% secondary compsn. consisting of 2.5-50wt.% SiO2 , 0-15wt.% BaO and 35-97.5wt.% other components including at least one among CaO, MgO, ZnO, B2 O3 and ZrO2 . |
