PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prolong the lifetime of a gear of such a structure that a lubricating film containing a solid lubricant is provided on the tooth surfaces, by smoothening the lubricating film to near each tooth bottoms. SOLUTION: A coating including a solid lubricant consisting of MoS2 in scale form and a resin binder is applied to the surfaces of a gear, in which gear 1 to which solid lubricant is applied is meshed with a surface smoothening gear 2 which has the same module as the coated gear 1, has different number of teeth, and is formed at least its surfaces from a fluoro-resin. Thereby the coated surface with solid lubricant is smoothened. |
