摘要 <p>A novel polyester (a first polyester [A]) comprising dicarboxylic constituents units derived from at least one dicarboxylic acid selected among terephthalic, isophthalic, and naphthalenedicarboxylic acids and diol constituent units derived from diols comprising ethylene glycol and polyalkylene glycols having an alkylene chain of 2 to 10 carbon atoms, the proportion of the polyalkylene glycol constituent units being 0.001 to 10 % by weight based on the diol constituent units. The first polyester [A] has an excellent rate of crystallization and, when used either alone or in combination with other polyester(s) and/or other polymer(s), i.e., as a composition, is suitable for the production of moldings having excellent gas barrier properties, transparency, and heat resistance, for example, films, sheets, laminates, preforms, and bottles. A polyester composition comprising 1 to 99 % by weight of the first polyester [A] and 1 to 99 % by weight of another polyester [B], a polyamide and/or a polyolefin. A polyester laminate having a multi-layer structure comprising a resin layer of the first polyester [A] or the composition and a resin layer of another polyester [B], a polyamide and/or a polyolefin. A process for producing biaxially stretched polyester bottles comprising the steps of preparing a preform from the first polyester [A], the composition, or the laminate, heating the preform, subjecting the heated preform to biaxial stretch blow molding to prepare stretched bottles, and holding the bottles within a mold at a temperature of 100 °C or above.</p>
