The invention relates to a file folder (A) with a front wall (1) and a rear wall (2); a leaf-type file signal (R) is fitted on the free bordering of the front wall (1) or rear wall (2) so as to slide and is secured by gripping over the upper bordering (a) and underneath a lower bordering (b), the upper grip being formed by a strip (5) formed on the file signal (R), said strip in the join region with the file signal leaf (4) merges with the surface plane of said leaf (4) and, freely overlapping with the file signal (R), forms a second, lower strip (6) which co-operates with the lower bordering (b). It is proposed as a way of improving the stability and guide characteristics of file signal that the file folder should form an upper folded edge (9) as the free bordering (a) in such a way that in the region of the upper strip (5) of the file signal (R) the file is double-ply, the folded edge (9) facing the join region between this strip (5) and the file signal leaf (4), and the second, lower strip (6) gripping around the free bordering (b) of the folded edge (9). |
