<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain superior stability of a charged state without using a harmful metal, to suppress the stain of a copy, to ensure high quality, to prevent the deterioration of performance due to use over a long period of time and to ensure superior thin line reproducibility and gradation by using a specified metallic compd. SOLUTION: This electrostatic charge controlling agent is made of a metallic compd. of a compd. represented by formula I or II. In the formula I, each of A and R is a residue of an arom. ring which may have a substituent and -O and -CONH-R bond to adjacent substitution positions on the residue A. In the formula II, each of A<1> , A<2> , R<1> and R<2> is a residue of an arom. ring which may have a substituent, (n) is a natural number, and -O and -CONH-R<1> , and -O and -CONH-R<2> bond to adjacent substitution positions on the residues A<1> and A<2> , respectively. This electrostatic charge controlling agent is excellent in safety, has a sufficiently high level of electrostatic charge and does not cause the stain of a copy due to continuous copying.</p> |
