PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an image failure and to form a satisfactory image by making a liquid-developer removal member out of a nonmagnetic material, and providing a magnet in the position which is in contact with the member or near the member. SOLUTION: The developing-roller scraper 155 is made of a nonmagnetic material, for example, Mylar (R) sheet. The magnet 170 is provided near the position where a developing roller 152 and the scraper 155 are in pressure contact with each other. In this case, metal powder which has entered in a liquid developer is attracted by the magnet 170, and the liquid developer from which the metal powder has been removed reaches the position where the scraper 155 and roller 152 are in pressure contact. Therefore, the scraper 155 is not scratched by the metal powder. Thus, because uneven distribution of the liquid developer on the surface of the roller 152 is prevented, the liquid developer on the surface of the photoreceptive drum 6, situated close to the roller 152, is prevented from becoming uneven in amount. |
