X=ray generator with cooled rotary anode

摘要

The x-ray generator includes an x-ray tube with an anode and cathode fixed to a vacuum housing. The x-ray tube is surrounded by a cooling medium container filled with a cooling medium. The container is in turn surrounded by a radiation protection housing. The x-ray tube and the cooling medium container are rotatable w.r.t. radiation protection housing. A driving mechanism is provided to rotate the x-ray tube and/or the cooling medium housing around a rotary axis. The driving mechanism is an electromotor or a pneumatic drive. The x-ray beam directing mechanism, includes electromagnets.
