PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antistatic thermoplastic resin compsn. which exhibits long-stable excellent antistatic effects and can be produced at a high productivity and at a low cost without the necessity for complicated steps, even in synthesizing its raw materials, by using specific antistatic agents. SOLUTION: This compsn. contains a thermoplastic resin (e.g. a polystyrene or polymethyl methacrylate resin), a hydroxylated amine compd. (e.g.β- hydroxyalkyl-N-ethanolamine), and an org. compd. having a metal sulfonate group (e.g. sodium dioctyl sulfosuccinate), can be produced at a high productivity and at a low cost, exhibits long-stable excellent antistatic effects, and has such an advantage that when a clear thermoplastic resin (e.g. a styrenic or acrylic resin) is used, the compsn. is excellent not only in antistaic effects but also in clarity.
