PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject cell-line useful for researches on the production technology of myeloperoxydase (MPO) and antibacterial or antiviral effects thereof, and as a control for detecting the translocation of chromosome (8:21) in acute myelocytic leukemia by establishing a new cell-line having a production capability of MPO from bone marrow cells of an acute myelocytic leukemia patient. SOLUTION: This cell-line CMC-1 (FERM P-15071) is obtained by collecting bone mallow cells of an acute myelocytic leukemia patient and subculturing the same in a RPMI-1640 medium containing granulocyte-macrophage colony stimulating factor (GM-CSF) and 20% fetal bovine serum (FBS) at 37 deg.C under 5% CO2 . This cell-line produces MPO, has a (8:21) translocation of chromosome thereof, lacks one of the 17th chromosomes, and has missense mutations at codon 248 and 368 in p53 gene. |
