This original re-useable filter assembly (10) has a cylindrical casing (20), one end open, the other closed. Its external thread, at the open end has an adjacent annular channel for a sealing ring. The top plate (30) has a mating external thread and seal, with inlet and outlet. There is a hollow central core (40) of tubular form, with threaded mounting. It has numerous perforations for inward flow. A hollow cylindrical filter cartridge (50) is used, with inward flow from the annulus between its outer surface and the internal surface of the casing. The element has an outer diameter smaller than the casing, facilitating removal. In the assembled state, with all components screwed in place, a sealed path is formed from the inlet, inwardly through the element, and to the outlet at the top, through the central core.
