The connection has two halves (1a,b) which use mutually engaging elements (3) to join the two wooden components (2a,b). Each half has a segment shaped sector (4) of pre-set thickness to be held in a recess (5) of the respective component. A fixing edge (6) along the segment sector has two protruding edge ends, the width of these edge ends across the thickness of the sector exceeds the width of the recess and presses into the sides of the recess to form a positive join. The fixer runs on both sides of the sector, forming a holding edge of triangular section. Material peeled off the inner walls of the main recess collects in recesses (7) provided in the fixing edge. The holding edges are wedge-shaped at one end to ease entry into the recess groove. The holding edges are confined to the centre part of the fitment for easier insertion, using resilient engaging element to compensate for tolerance.
