PURPOSE:To freely set a shutter speed and an aperture value and to enable desired flash synchronized photography by allowing a light emission part emit light intermittently with a selected pulse signal and varying the duty ratio of the flash light emission. CONSTITUTION:When the shutter of a camera is released, a control circuit 7 is put in operation and a control circuit 4 sends a trigger signal to a light emission control circuit 5. Further, a pulse is outputted from a terminal HSS of the circuit 4 and a high-speed synchronization mode is selected with a switch SW2. Then while the trigger signal is sent out, a pulse with a selected duty ratio is outputted and a flash discharge tube Xe emits light intermittently with the selected duty ratio. Then the quantity of the light emission is varied by varying the duty ratio and the output timing is further varied. Consequently, desired flash synchronized photography is performed by setting the shutter speed and aperture value freely. |
