PURPOSE:To obtain a bathing agent extremely mild to the skin after sunburn by blending rose hip oil with an alkaline agent. CONSTITUTION:A bathing agent obtained by extracting seeds of rose hip with a solvent, filtering the resultant crude oil, distilling away the solvent, deodorizing and decoloring the obtained residue, and blending the obtained rose hip oil which is a yellow or colorless liquid with an alkaline agent, e.g., sodium (hydrogen)carbonate, borax or sodium metasilicate, and adjusting the blend so as to provide pH<=9.5 of the bath water. The amount of the blended rose hip oil is preferably 0.1-80%, especially preferably 1.0-20%. The rose hip oil contains linoleic acid and linolenic acid which are essential fatty acids in high concentrations and these components are substances, essential to various processes related to synthesis of prostaglandin, biophylaxis of cell membranes or living bodies and growth and regeneration of tissues and effective in sedation of dermatopathy by sticking to the skin after sunburn. |
