PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To safely ride on a tread and to save a space for an installation area. SOLUTION: A lower story floor F1 comprises a horizontal elevation floor 9 connected to a floor; an inclination elevation floor 10 arranged on the tread 4 side of the horizontal elevation floor 9 and having an inclination angle lower than the inclination angleθa of a tread 4; and a comb 11 fixed at the tip on the tread 4 side of the inclination elevation floor 10 and having a tip engaged with an uneven surface part formed in the running direction of the surface of the tread 4. Passengers are moved as they walk to the inclination elevation floor 10 having an inclination angle with the horizontal elevation floor 9 further gentle than that of the tread 4. Thereafter, the change rate of the inclination angle is reduced to a value lower than a conventional inclination angle so as to ride on the tread 4.
