PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a thermal recording material provided both fixing and light resistance and having superior water resistance, chemical resistance, travelling and manufacturing aptitude. SOLUTION: This recording material is constituted so as to provide a light fixing type thermal recording layer, a light transittance adjustment layer, where a light transmittance in a light fixing wavelength area is reduced after fixing and a protective layer formed thereon. In this case, the light transmittance adjustment layer and/or the protective layer are formed with a random copolymer. The ratio of a polyvinyl alcohol monomer component of a polyvinyl alcohol to an ethylene monomer is 80:20-99:1, containing a polyinyl alcohol based resin, saponification thereof is 80% or more. |
