<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the power steering device which can make it light in weight and compact in size, and furthermore, can perform steering only by handle operating force as required. SOLUTION: This invention is concerned with the power steering device where torque developed in a steering shaft 18 by handle operating force is detected by a displacement sensor 24, a motor 21 is driven by the detected signal, and a steering gear mounting shaft 20 connected with the steering shaft 18 is thereby drivingly rotated by the handle operating force and the motor 21, the torque of the steering shaft 18 is transmitted to the steering gear mounting shaft 20 by way of a planetary gear mechanism 22, concurrently a rotor 23 which is rotatably displaced in response to the torque of the steering shaft 18, is provided for a gear at the opposite side 42 of the planetary gear mechanism 22, and the rotational displacement of the rotor 23 is detected by the displacement sensor 24, so that the motor 21 is thereby controlled in response to the output of the displacement sensor 24.</p> |
