PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adequately suppress the vibration of electrode substrates by specifying conditions for spraying adhesive particles. SOLUTION: The diameter and spraying density of the adhesive particles 40 interposed between both electrode substrates 10 and 20 together with spacers 50 and antiferroelectric liquid crystals are respectively set at the values of a range where the strength of adhesion between the respective electrode substrates 10 and 20 by the adhesive particles 40 is made to >=2.6kPa. As a result, the vibration between both electrode substrates 10 and 20 at the time of driving of a liquid crystal cell can be suppressed by the strength of adhesion of the adhesive particles 40. The diameter and spraying density of the adhesive particles 40 interposed between both electrode substrates 10 and 20 together with spacers 50 and the antiferroelectric liquid crystals are respectively set at the values of a range where the max. amplitude of the vibration between both electrode substrates 10 and 20 occurring at the time of impressing voltage between both electrode substrates 10 and 20 is made to <=0.002μm. The vibration between both electrode substrates 10 and 20 at the time of driving of the liquid crystal cell can be, thereby, correctly suppressed as well. Then, the display state of the liquid crystal cell is well maintained.
