PURPOSE: To obtain a horizontally extended extrusion line for a foamed body by an apparatus wherein an extrusion die is provided on one end in a chamber and a water baffle is provided on another end and an extrudate of the foamed body is guided into open air through the baffle and a liq. is circulated from a high level to a low level. CONSTITUTION: An extruder 15 is provided outside of a barrier 11 and an extrusion die 16 is provided inside of the barrier. A part 31 of a pool 30 is arranged on the outside of a vacuum chamber 10 and another part 32 is arranged inside. A vertically moving gate 36 being vertically driven by means of a motor 37 on a seal plate 12 controls the size of an opening of a window 34. A foamed extrudate 40 is separated from the die 16 and is expanded and shaped and is pressed at the end 42 of a belt conveyer 43 and is inclined toward below the level of the pool 30. After the extrudate 40 is taken out of the part 31 of the pool 30 outside of the vacuum chamber 10, it is forwarded in the arrow mark 48 direction for cutting and processing. During the system is worked, pumps 50 and 51 pull out water from the part 32 of the pool in the vacuum chamber 10 and is sent to the part 31 of the pool outside of an empty chamber and water is made to flow from one end of the pool to another end and is circulated through the window 34 of the seal plate 12. |
