Use of a polyurethane sheet with single-sided electric conductivity for the production of flexible layers for containers for storing inflammable liquids

A use is claimed for a multilayer film based on thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) with an electrically conductive layer on one side as a flexible insert for a container storing inflammable fluids. The film comprises a first layer (1) of conductive TPU compounded from: (a) a TPU base material; (b) carbon black with a surface of 600 m<2>/g or greater according to the BET method; and (c) other ingredients for film production and a second layer (2), made from a similar compound to that used for the first layer (1), but without the conductive carbon black. Also claimed are coextrusion or lamination processes for production of the film.
