PURPOSE:To secure a waterproof property and a dustproof property inside a cylinder so as to restrain temperature rising-up by sealing the cylinder containing therein a straight fluorescent tube at one end thereof by a cap while at the other end thereof by a transformer case having a heat radiating fin. CONSTITUTION:A straight fluorescent tube 4 is supported by a frame 5 via a socket 70 inside a cylinder 1 made of a resin. One end of the fluorescent tube 4 is sealed by a cap 3 connected to the frame 5 while the other end thereof is engaged with a transforming case 2 having a heat radiating fin 26 formed outside thereof. A transformer 6 for supplying electric power to the fluorescent tube 4 is contained inside a first space 22 defined inside the transformer case 2. A second space 21 to be engaged with the frame 5 is defined outside of the first space 22. Consequently. it is possible to prevent infiltration of water or dust into the cylinder 1 containing the fluorescent tube 4 from the outside. Moreover, heat generated in the transformer 6 is radiated to the outside through the heat radiating fin 26 so as to restrain temperature rising-up inside the cylinder 1, thus reducing deterioration of the fluorescent tube 4. |
