The system is designed for natural viewing of stereoscopic images from all sources and with no more or less opaque intermediate object between the eye and the image. The system uses a single monocular prism with an angle of incidence of 22.5 deg, with no fixed focus lens to limit the field and distance of viewing. The system is designed to refract the viewed image perpendicular to the stereoscopic axis to the right or left exterior, depending on whether the image is viewed by the right or left eye. The prism is fitted in a movable support of an opaque material which has, in addition to the prism holder (B), an aperture (C) located opposite the other eye and made 3/5 the width of the prism. |
