Casing for junction in flat cable e.g. trigger stage in blasting system

The casing comprises two casing portions (12,13) adapted to be fixed to each other by screwing within lead-through regions of a flat cable (10). The casing portions include cramping areas for fixing the flat cable to the casing in a direct, non-positive way, where the screws, which interconnect the two casing portions at the same time, create the cramping pressure. An additional positive engagement between the casing and the cable is achieved by engagement between a tube (25) which receives the screw and a hole (29) provided in a centre web (28) of the cable. Tensile strain occurring within the cable is thus diverted via the casing around the electrical equipment, e.g. a printed circuit board (11), provided in the casing and soldered to the wires (19) of the cable.
