PURPOSE:To obtain a beautiful image having high coloration contrast by arranging a color filter on a side near the viewpoint of a viewer against an image carrier in the display part of the title device. CONSTITUTION:When the color filter 12 and the image carrier 10 which are aligned to each other are irradiated with the use of an optical system projecting the light of back lights 29 so as to have directivity in a diagonal direction, a color (shown as R in the figure) which passes almost linearly through the transparent parts of the image carrier 10 does not come into the field of view, whereas colors (shown as G and B in the figure) made incident on scattering parts are scattered so as to be viewed clearly as a color (a cyan color) of mixed scattered light. When no image carrier transparent parts but the scattering parts alone are formed, the color is white. The color filter 12 is arranged nearer to the viewpoint than the image carrier 10 so that the image side of the image carrier 10 is faced to the color filter side, and such arrangement as a thermal head 11 easily abuts on the image carrier 10 can be employed. As a result, the filter 12 is not in the shadow of the polymer layer which is the image side, and an image with sharp colors and high contrast can be obtained. |
