<p>PURPOSE:To form a hardened layer having uniform depth on the parts to be quenched in the whole work by cooling plural parts to be quenched with the orderly adjacent work at the same time after heating with plural high-frequency heating coil. CONSTITUTION:A shaft 10 with steps composed of small diameter parts 11, 12 and a large diameter part 13 and the side surfaces 14, 15 is quenched with high-frequency. At this time, heating conductive bodies 101-113 connected in series with the high-frequency heating coil 100 are arranged over the small diameter parts 11, 12 side surfaces 14, 15, large diameter part 13, and electric power is conducted through power supplying conductive bodies 118, 119. At the same time, to the crossing parts of the small diameter parts 11, 12 and the side surfaces 14, 15, the heating conductive bodies 201-208 in the other heating coil 200 are arranged and the electric power is conducted through power supplying conductive bodies 218, 219. By this method, each part of the shaft 10 with steps is heated uniformly and simultaneously. Thereafter, this shaft is cooled and the hardened layer can be formed to the uniform depth.</p> |
