PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make an IC card to mount a large volume of programs. SOLUTION: An optical memory 2, etc., except an IC memory is provided as an information storage means and at least a part of information is stored in it, read-out at need and used. The information storage means can be a read only memory. An instruction to be stored in a ciphered, read by an external device, transmitted to the IC card 10, decoded by the IC card 10 and executed. Moreover, authentication data are stored as a set according to the instruction and executed when authenticated data is correct. The security of the instruction to be stored is secured by ciphering and authentication data. |
