PURPOSE: To shorten the time required to convert color data and make it fast to take a hard copy of a color image by processing display data of a CRT on planes, plane by plane, and generating data for a color printer. CONSTITUTION: A color data converting means 9 is constituted as the firmware of a BMP 3 and generates the color data for the color printer 8 through raster operation in plane units. Namely, data of basic colors of the color printer are represented as logical expressions consisting of R, G, and B derived from a conversion correspondence chart of display colors, which is utilized by the color data converting means 9 to perform the raster operation by a raster computing element in the plane units corresponding to R, G, and B according to the logical expressions, thereby generating the data of the basic colors of the color printer. Thus, the data on the planes are processed together at a time through the raster operation in the plane units, so the conversion of the data is speeded up and a hard copy can be taken fast. |
