METHOD FOR TRACKING A SUBSCRIBER POSITION IN CELLULAR SYSTEM

The method is for tracing position of a subscriber in a cellular system. According to the tracing method, when a subscriber is at an area adjacent to plural exchange stations after registration of the subscriber, the subscriber requests a position registration with reference to the distance by a unit of a zone to a station. Thereafter, the station transmits an inherent zone information thereof to the plural exchanger stations and requests a position registration thereof. The exchange station that receives the position registration request confirms whether or not several exchange stations exist within a registration distance by using an earth configuration database.
