PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a composition improved in bleaching power and excellent in bleaching performance even for stains containing oily matter by blending a methyl ester salt of anα-sulfo fatty acid, a dimetal salt of anα-sulfo fatty acid, an organic peracid precursor, and an oxygen-base peroxide. SOLUTION: This composition contains component (a) comprising a methyl ester salt of anα-sulfo fatty acid, component (b) comprising a dimetal salt of anα-sulfo fatty acid, an organic peracid precusor (c) represented by the formula, and an oxygen-base peroxide (d), with a weight ratio of component (a) to component (b) of at least 3:1. In the formula, R is a 7-11C linear alkyl. The composition can reveal excellent bleacing performance particularly for stains containing oily matter, so that it can be widely used as a bleaching agent for clothing, etc., and a bleaching detergent, especially, e.g., a bleaching detergent having a bulk density as high as at least 0.6g/cm<3> .
