摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antimicrobial non-woven fabric excellent in antimicrobial performance, and to provide a method for producing the same. SOLUTION: This antimicrobial non-woven fabric is obtained from split type conjugate fibers (preferably spilt type conjugate filaments) in which a polymer component A and a polymer component B incompatible with the polymer component A are adhered to each other. At least a part of the spilt type conjugate fibers are split into the polymer A and the polymer B in the antimicrobial non-woven fabric. When the antimicrobial non-woven fabric contains hot-pressed parts, at least a part of the split type conjugate fibers in the non-hot-pressed parts are split into the polymer component A and the polymer component B. Therein, fibers A comprising the polymer component A and fiber B comprising the polymer component B are expressed. Inorganic antimicrobial agent particles exist on the split surfaces of the fibers A and the fibers B, and the particles partially expose to outside air in a state contacting with the outside air. Thereby, the antimicrobial performance of the non-woven fabric is remarkably improved in comparison with a case wherein inorganic antimicrobial agent particles exist only in a polymer component in a state not contacting with outside air.
