PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quench a platinum catalyst contained in a silicone coating waste solution which causes gelation of and hydrogen gas generation from a coating waste solution in a safe and easy manner by adding a phosphorous compound. SOLUTION: This treatment comprises the addition of (B) a phosphorous compound (preferably, a phosphine compound having trivalent phosphorous atom, e.g. triphenylphosphine, diphenylphosphine or phenyldibenzylphosphine) to (A) a waste solution of addition reaction-type silicone coating containing a platinum catalyst. An amount of the component B added is preferably 0.001-10 pts.wt., especially 0.01-3 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. of the total of silicone components consisting of an alkenyl group-containing organopolysiloxane and an SiH group-containing organopolysiloxane in the component A.
|
