The device holds the picture tube (1) in position, with its fluorescent screen (15), up against the front (12) of the frame of the receiver, with a screw (10) driven into a threaded bore (8) via an aperture in a tongue (2) projecting from the tube. A dowel (4), with a disc (5), partly occupies the space between the tongue and a contact surface surrounding the bore. The screw turned in a threaded hole through the disc pulls the dowel towards the tongue, before engaging the wall of the bore, until a washer (19) under its head (16) comes up against the tongue and secures the tube in position.
