The device has a lifting frame (1), secured to the wall, which has two arms. The two arms support a height adjustable pivoting platform (3) which is mounted on rollers (7). This allows the platform to be rotated away from the wall about an axle (8) since the rollers only support the platform at one end. The platform is fixed on to the arms with a removable bolt (11). There is a carriage (5) under the platform which allows it to be moved horizontally.
