Enzyme-containing compositions having improved cleaning power

Compositions are disclosed which are formulated for a variety of fabric cleaning and fabric care applications as well as for hard surface cleaning. The compositions may be used in the wash water over a wide range of pH in the washing bath, or in the rinse cycle of an automatic home washing machine. The compositions contain one or more enzymes in combination with at least one water soluble organic polymer, such as polyethylene glycol. A surfactant such as an anionic and/or a nonionic surfactant is preferably included in the compositions.
