PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a man-machine communication system of a speech base for establishing natural interaction between user and household apparatus. SOLUTION: This man-machine communication system of the speech base consists of >=2 units of the controllable apparatus having speech synthesizing functions. The respective apparatus are given with the speech patterns unique to the apparatus themselves. Since the apparatus are connected via a bus, a centralized control unit processes all the requests from user. Since the user uses the natural language, there is a possibility that commands are ambiguous. Then, an algorithm to process the ambiguous condition is provided. |
