<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To identify an unidentified communication means making transmission via a common medium. SOLUTION: A digital communication system, equipment and method relating to the system use a transmission medium in common by means of a service message. The service message indicates whether or not each digital communication equipment is permitted for transmission to the medium, that is, there is any indication after the service message as to availability of transmission to the medium. One of the messages is a multiple transmission enable message and indicates a group of communication equipments 24 whose transmission is allowed after the reply by each. When each equipment 24 tries transmission to the medium, every time the equipment 24 receives the multiple message, the equipment 24 discriminates whether or not the transmission is allowed based on a predetermined rule including a specific random ballot.</p> |
