PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve residual toner detecting accuracy and to keep printing quality excellent cover a long period. SOLUTION: This cartridge is provided with a drum-like photoreceptor 1, a developing roller 2 for developing an electrostatic latent image on the photoreceptor 1, a toner supplying roller 3 for supplying toner as a developer to the developing roller 2 and a toner box 5 for supplying the toner T to the toner supplying roller 3. The EP cartridge 10 provided with a toner detecting means 13 having an optical path vertically passing through the toner box 5 and consisting of light emitting and receiving elements 11 and 12, in the part of the toner box 5 is provided. The toner box 5 consists of a transparent member and a convex lens part 15 is provided in a region facing the light emitting element 11 of the toner box 5. |
