PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to feel air stream variations similar to natural air stream variations, and hance improve comfortableness by rendering an air speed to chaotic variations at an arbitrary location in a room upon cooling operation without making the user feel a feeling of cold air. SOLUTION: An air conditioner includes a deflection blade capable of controlling the direction of an air stream blown off from an indoor unit, and further includes upon cooling operation blow-off direction setting means 1, blow-off temperature detection means 3 for deflection speed for predicting data for deflection speed such that an object is rendered to chaotic variations, and deflection means 4 for determining the deflection speed of the deflection blade based upon the deflection speed chaos data being an output from the deflection speed chaos data production means 3.
