PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a room air cleaning device with simple structure and high efficiency by providing an air blowing machine for blowing air to a light source for an illumination fixture which radiates light including ultra-violet rays, to which a light catalyst transmitting light and causing a catalytic reaction by means of the ultra-violet ray is applied. SOLUTION: A light source 1 is made of white fluorescent tubes, and on the surface of a light emitting part 1a" thereof an almost crystal light catalysis 2 causing a light catalysis reaction by means of an ultra-violet ray composed of, for example, TiO2 , ZnO, etc., is applied in the layer shape. When the light source 1 is lit, the light transmits the layer of the catalysis 2 and illuminates the inside of a room, an air blasting machine 3 operates to blast air to the catalysis 2. The catalysis 2 is reacted by the ultra-violet ray included in the light of the light emitting part 1a", the offensive smell component included in the air flow from the air blasting machine 3 is dissolved, and the room air can be deodorized. When the switch of the illumination fixture is turned OFF, the light source 1 goes out and the air blasting machine 3 stops. |
