PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charging circuit of a secondary battery which prevents insufficient charge when a peak value, like the peak value which is generated in the final period of charge, is generated in the terminal voltage of a secondary battery in the initial period of charge and can prevent overcharge which is to be caused by re-charge of a secondary battery of full charge. SOLUTION: This charging circuit consists of the following; a temperature rise ratio detection circuit 5 which detects that the temperature rise ratio per unit time of a secondary battery 3 during charge has reached a specified value, a -ΔV detection circuit 6 which detects that the terminal voltage of the secondary battery 3 during charge has decreased from the peak value by a specified value, and a charge control circuit 2 which controls the charge current of the secondary battery 3 when both of the temperature rise ratio detection circuit 5 and the -ΔV detection circuit 6 generate detection signals.
