PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adjust the strength of the tilt holding force of the tilt mechanism to optimum strength and cope with a weight change due to the replacement of a tilted rotary member and the abrasion of a component of the tilt mechanism. SOLUTION: A couple of compression springs 5 and 6 mounted on a column (nonrotary member) 3 cause the rotary coupling part 3a of the column 3 to elastically deform by the movement of an adjuster 7 as shown by an arrow A, thereby pressing the rotary coupling part 1a of a housing (tilted rotary member) 1. The column 3 receives reaction from the housing 1 as shown by an arrow B. When the housing 1 is tilted in this state, friction is generated between the column 3 and the rotary coupling surface (contact surface between 3a and 1a) that the housing 1 comes into contact. The tilt state can be maintained even by varying the tilt angle of the housing 1 with the frictional force.
|
