FIELD: metallurgy, particular, production of ferrochromium. SUBSTANCE: the offered method consists in that at the beginning of melting of high-carbon ferrochromium, bottom of electric furnace is formed by charging materials in a definite sequence: carbon-containing reducer, chrome-iron ore in the amount of 5-10% of that consumed in melt with ore-reducer ratio of 1: (1-1.2), wastes of production of ferrochromium, siftings of high-carbon ferrochromium. Then, melted on formed bottom is mixture of chrome-iron ore, line and ferrosiliconchromium taken in ratio of 1:(0.9-1.2):(0.30-0.35). EFFECT: reduced content of carbon in ferrochromium down to 4-6% and specific consumption of electric power for melting of 1t of chrome-iron ore by 1.8-2 times. |
