The device for removing a cake (6) contained in the basket of a centrifuge after centrifuging a substance to be treated, comprises a device for twisting a filter cloth (5) inside the basket (1). Also claimed are a spin dryer with a vertical or horizontal axis containing a device as above, and a decanter with a vertical or horizontal axis containing a device as above.
