Multilayer, unsupported, integral microfiltration membranes (MF membranes) made from polymers which are suitable for the phase inversion process (except aliphatic polyamides) are claimed, with at least one final filter layer (A) and at least one integrated pre-filter layer (B). Layer (A) has a thickness of 50-300 mu m and a symmetrical pore structure, and the ratio of thicknesses of (A):(B) = (1:4)-(4:1). Also claimed is a process for the prodn. of these MF membranes (see below).
