The battery powered small transmitter is designed for use with a car ignition key, and propagates an intentionally generated, coded HF signal. The signal can be received by a first receiver, for actuating a security device of the car. There is at least one second receiver, which can be associated with a building or luggage protection device. The second receiver HF input stage is tuned to a further HF signal, which is also transmitted by the small signal transmitter. The second signal is different from the HF signal for the car security device. The small transmitter has at least one separate pushbutton for the protection HF signal.
