PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate mounting of an upper cover by a simple configuration, ensure high sealing property, facilitate the adjustment of the height of the upper cover for a lower cover, and improve the appearance of an engine cover in an engine cover mounting structure of an outboard motor. SOLUTION: In an outboard motor 2, a boss 84 for mounting upper cover is provided and protrudes on a magnet cover 44 in an upper part of an engine 6, and a boss insertion hole 86 is provided at a section which corresponds to the boss 84 in an upper wall 66b of an upper cover 66 to make the boss face upward from the boss insertion hole 86 and screw-fit a nut member 88 in a part which faces the boss 84 so that the upper cover 66 is tightened on a lower cover 64. |
