PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an ink jet recorder capable of recording a high quality character by improving character density by a method wherein in the ink jet recorder, deterioration of sharpness at an edge part of the character is prevented, and a main cause for deterioration of image quality such as oozing out or the like is removed. SOLUTION: A black character is detected to a recording data (S302). An edge of the detected black character is detected (S304). Respectively different recording methods are set up to the edge part of the character and a part excepting the edge part (S 307, S308). For example, the edge part is recorded only by one time scan, and the other part is recorded by superimposing a dot by two time scans. Thereby, oozing out is prevented for the edge part, and density can be increased for the part excepting that. |
