The packet processor assigning method for packet call adapted in a packet processing subsystem(10) having a plurality of packet processor modules(11) to which a plurality of packet processor lines are connected, comprises the steps of: fetching the packet processor module(11) number to be detected; detecting the packet processor module(11) to select an applicable packet processor module(11); fetching the line number of the packet processor to be detected upon assignment of a previous packet processor to the selected packet processor and selecting an applicable packet processor line to which a packet processor is assigned; and increasing the number of packet processor lines during usage to designate line number and module number of the packet processor to be detected.
