PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a locking member to lock an air bag cover with an air bag expanding opening part from making contact with an air bag and damaging it at the time when the air bag expands, pushes to open the air bag cover covering the air bag expanding opening part and expands to the inside of a car room. SOLUTION: Contact of broken parts 20, 21 with an air bag at the time when the air bag expands to the inside of a car room from an air bag expanding opening part 2 is eliminated by leaving the broken part 20 at a central part of a semicircular cutout part 18 on the side of an air bag cover 11 and by leaving the broken part 21 on a head end of the aforementioned broken part 18 in a recessed part 10 of a lower edge part of an air bag expanding opening part 2 on the side of an instrument panel 1 as breakage takes place at a breakage expected point (a) of a minimum cross sectional area part of the broken part 18 of a breaking member 15. |
