FIELD: forestry, food-processing, fat-and-oil, confectionery industries. SUBSTANCE: method involves slightly drying cedar nut having natural moisture content; providing mechanical cracking of nut; sieving out undamaged nut core free from shell. Apparatus has charging hopper, feeder, nut cracking mechanism, grid with openings for undamaged nut core free from shell. Nut cracking mechanism has casing, rotary shaft with resilient cover and base with working surface and gap adjustment screw. Base is formed as rectangular board with specially worked surface for sliding or moving of cedar nut along this surface. EFFECT: increased efficiency, simplified method and construction and enhanced reliability in operation. |
